Mapleview Coffee Co. was founded by a fine-art painter and professional barista. Our brand is inspired by a collection of fine-art paintings created by a mother-son artistic duo, Ginny and Joseph.

Art is a routine ingredient in our daily operations. We use our mobile platform to celebrate local creators by featuring a new Seasonal Artist-in-Travel. Every season, one local artist shares the spotlight alongside Mapleview Coffee Co.’s public events operations.

Meet Alex Lord
Boulder County Artist

Alex is originally from northern Minnesota and has always been inspired by our connection to nature and one another. She is currently a Boulder County based artist that specializes in mixed media, acrylics, and digital styles. The subjects she tends to focus on are: our relationship with death, connection, mythology, magical moments, geometry, and cryptid creatures.
In 2022, after spending time taking classes in Grand Marais, MN Alex decided to take her art more seriously as a part-time artist. She became a member of local art markets and art collectives all around the Denver area. Selling stationery and art prints featuring skulls, nocturnal creatures, and moons. Right now Alex is having fun creating one of a kind celestial pieces and celebrating her 10th anniversary with her wife.

“Thought & Memory” 2023 Acrylic
Thought & Memory was created from this idea of two of Odin’s ravens, Huginn and Munnin. Who go out and gather info for him and bring it back. I loved this idea as an artists practice. I pictured these two spirits going out and bringing me new ways to see things, and sharing memories-having that vulnerability in my personal art practice.
