Uplifting the Boulder County Art Scene
Art is a routine ingredient in our daily operations. We use our mobile platform to celebrate local creators by featuring a new Seasonal Artist-in-Travel. Every season, one local artist shares the spotlight alongside Mapleview Coffee Co.’s public events operations.

Meet Samantha Cauchy
Boulder County Artist
-
Samantha Cauchy is a talented oil painter based in Louisville, Colorado and originally from Atlanta, Georgia. She studied fine art at Georgia State University and at the University of Colorado, then proceeded to study an oil painting technique, the mischtechnik, under various master painters. This shift from traditional teaching to learning old master techniques and materials was inspired by her growing connection to both the ethereal and the natural world.
Samantha's artwork is inspired by elements of nature and mysticism that is found in diverse cultures. You could describe her art style as imaginative realism. Her paintings, primarily created in oils, aim to invoke deep emotions and inspire others to discover their own artistic side. When she's not painting, Samantha enjoys creating beaded jewelry which is a meditative practice that complements her artistic journey.
She has been sharing her art with the world throughout the years through various gallery showcases, public art displays, in person events and exhibitions. She is also passionate about sustainability and humanitarian causes. Her long-term goal is to significantly contribute to these efforts through her art, and she's already making strides in this area.

Artist Statement:
My art is an intention sent out into the world. I am deeply inspired by the magic within nature, life, and mythology. Through these creations I aim to bring awareness to protecting the earth and the creatures that inhabit it while honoring the beautiful connection that humans have with one another and embodying love for all forms of life. My greatest mission through painting is to spark inspiration, invoke deep emotion, and help open minds to new ideas.

A piece that embodies the concept of growth through all aspects of life and on your own terms. While plants normally grow and thrive in the sunlight there are ones that thrive in the dark and prefer to bloom under the moonlight. They stray from the norm. I feel this way myself, going against the grain of society and thriving while doing so.
